1. Controller

2. What we process when you visit the site

PetaPrice has no user accounts, forms or comments. When you open a page, our hosting provider processes the technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our web server keeps no access logs, so this data is not stored after your request has been answered.

3. Hosting

The site runs on a virtual server we rent from The Constant Company, LLC (Vultr), 319 Clematis Street, Suite 900, West Palm Beach, FL 33401, USA, in its New Jersey data center. Vultr processes the data above on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The price data stored on the server contains no personal data.

4. Cookies and local storage

We store small settings in your browser: your theme (light or dark) and cookie-banner choice in local storage, and your language choice in a first-party cookie (NEXT_LOCALE). They are strictly necessary to provide the features you use (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG) and never leave your device. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose “Accept all” (see section 5). You can change your choice at any time: cookie settings.

5. Analytics (PostHog)

Only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used and to find errors. PostHog then records which pages you view, which filters, comparisons and provider links you use, errors that occur in the page, and technical data such as browser, device type, referrer and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It may also record session replays (clicks, scrolling and page changes; text you type is masked). To recognize repeat visits, PostHog stores a random ID in a cookie and in local storage.

The provider is PostHog Inc., 2261 Market St. #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA, which processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. The data is stored in PostHog's EU region in Frankfurt, Germany. Where PostHog accesses it from the USA, the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Analytics data is deleted after 12 months at the latest. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via cookie settings; PostHog then stops and its ID is removed from your browser.

6. Fonts, logos and external content

Fonts and provider logos are served from our own domain, so opening a page doesn't send your data to font or logo services. Links to GPU providers take you to their websites, where their own privacy policies apply.

7. Contacting us

If you email us, we process your address and message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed, unless we have to keep them by law.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent with effect for the future (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the one responsible for us: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.

9. No automated decisions

We don't use automated decision-making or profiling.
